Aminka Belvitt believes in the strength of sisterhood and the connection woman have with one another through our lived and shared experiences. She has been a long-time community organizer in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ottawa, Montreal and New York.
She is the Founder & President of The ForUsGirls Foundation - an international community organization providing young womxn, and girls of colour with innovative skills development, and leadership programs, and opportunities across Canada, the United States and Jamaica.
She previously worked with UN Women to develop their #BreakTheGlass global campaign and its #SheInnovates campaign with global software company SAP. In 2019 she was awarded the title GoalKeeper by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the YWCA Montreal Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
She is also the business owner of Belvitt Consulting Inc. serving international institutions, governments and corporations with executive leadership training in DEI, Systems Change, Sustainability and Innovative Thought Leadership.
She is recognized as a UN Global Goals Advocate and considers herself as an Innovator and Changemaker.
